I was born and raised in Portland, and after a brief detour to the East coast, I returned to Portland. This website is all about what I like about Portland.

Ah, Portland. My sweet home, changing so fast and leaving me with so many mixed feelings. I started this website back in 2007, when I felt like Portland could use a little more affection. Then I went through a phase of feeling like Portland was loved to death. And I guess I’m now coming out the other side, and wanting share my affection for this dear place.

There are a few things that I don’t like about Portland, including:

• People riding bikes close and fast to me on the sidewalk. Makes me anxious.
• Waiting in line for food — fortunately, there is lots of other good food here without a really long line. And sometimes, if I have a good attitude, I can successfully wait in line.
• People being jerks to each other about what they do or do not like. So if you enjoy socializing with friends while waiting for a table at your favorite restaurant, carry on!
